Making Sure that Cervical Cancer Doesn't Strike

Cervical cancer, a disease caused by HPV, is can be prevented in several ways. Since the virus is passed through sexual contact, an obvious preventative method is safe sex. Thus, when couples have sex, they should make sure that they use a condom. Other contraceptive methods also work, such as withdrawal. Therefore, contraception is an extremely effective way to prevent cervical cancer. However, there is  vaccine that women, who are at risk for cervical cancer, can take. This vaccine is supposed to protect them from developing the disease.
